Steps To Make The Most Out Of Your Next Vacation Flight

March 03, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

Are you planning on taking a vacation this year?  Whether you are vacationing alone, with your family, or with your romantic partner, it is almost a guarantee that you would want to enjoy your trip.  You can plan your vacation as much as you would like; however, there is a way that you could spoil your vacation, even before you get off the ground. That way is by having a bad experience at the airport or aboard your airplane. To prevent this from happening, you are advised to know how to make the most out of your next flight.Doing that will help to make sure that your vacation is filled with joyful memories.

The first step in making the most out of your next vacation flight, it is to familiarize yourself with all of the air travelrules.  This most commonly includes items that are prohibited in airports and aboard airplanes.Unfortunately, many people do not know that many of the items in their carryon luggage are not allowed .  Bringing prohibited items aboard an airplane could lead to your items being confiscated, you missing your flight, or even being detained by airport security

The best way for you to go about learning what items are and are not allowed aboard an airplane is to review the restrictions that your airport and airline has. You can do this by contacting the airline or airport directly or by visiting their online websites. You should be able to find these websites by performing an internet search.  In your search, you will likely learn that a large number of items are banned. These items include, but are not limited to, most liquids, sharp objects, most sporting equipment, and flammable items.  It is also important to determine which of these items can be stored in your carryon luggage and which can be stored in your checked baggage, if any.

In addition to learning about the items that are prohibited aboard an airplane or past airport security checkpoints, you will also want to familiarize yourself with the general airport screening process. As there is a chance that problems may arise, generally all the airports request that you should arrive at least two hours before your flight departs.  However, it may be a good idea to check with your airport first.  Since different airports have different flights and are different sizes, you may find that certain airports request that you arrive earlier than two hours.

On the day that your flight leaves, it is important that you arrive on time.  If your airport recommends arriving two hours in advance, it is advised that you arrive two hours in advance.  Even if you get through security quicker than you imagined, the worst that will happen is that you will have to wait. If you arrive at the airport at the last minute, there is a chance that you may miss your flight.  It is also important that you follow all of the requests made by airport security.  If you are asked to step aside, you are advised to do so without incident. Often times, the matter, in which you were asked to step aside for, will clear up right away, but not if you are rude, insulting, or unruly.

Perhaps, the best way to make the most out of your next flight is to cooperate with airport security.  In the event that you packed a banned item by mistake, just acknowledge your mistake and move on.  Your item will likely be confiscated, but it is better than the consequences, which may include a missed flight or being detained by airport security.

Wonderful Last Minute Vacation Trip On A Budget

March 02, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

A last minute vacation can be exciting, challenging, and fun but it can also be dangerous and problematic when you don’t take extra precautions.

You should shop around.
Don’t grab the first deal you encounter. You should shop around. Just because you’re going to have a last minute vacation doesn’t mean you should force yourself to make do with uncomfortable travel arrangements.

Research diligently for current vacation packages and rates. It’s going to take time, yes, but if you’re patient and see it through the end, your last minute vacation might end up being this year’s best vacation!

Know what you want and need.
Searching for the best deals and making travel arrangements will be easier to accomplish if you know exactly what kind of vacation you’re after. Determine what kind of activities you’d best enjoy. Know your budget and be resourceful in finding ways to get the best value from your vacation arrangement.

Be flexible.
Be prepared for things not to go your way all the time. It’s last minute travel, after all. If you’re long used to traveling first class, last minute travel plans may require you to have your first taste of traveling economy. Because of your last minute travel plans, you may also have to make do with an inn rather than the five-star hotel you’re used to. There are a lot of things you may have to sacrifice because of last minute travel arrangements, but don’t let any of these put you down.

Don’t take a risk on the unknown.
Being flexible isn’t synonymous to taking a risk on unknown hotels, travel agencies, and the likes. In truth, the very fact that you’re making last minute arrangements makes it all the more important to trust only companies and businesses that are trusted and well-established.

If you really have to take your chances with a new vacation deal, make sure take into consideration reviews and testimonials made by other people. It is better to trust reviews and testimonials of the third-party websites and not of the websites of the resort or hotel in which you are going to stay

Be organized.
Some people work better when they’re racing against the clock but hurried travel arrangements could have costly consequences. Are you truly willing to risk that?

Being organized means planning things early and tackling tasks systematically. List-making is critical in organization, but it’s not the only thing you can do to ensure that everything goes to plan.

Your attitude also matter. Never make the mistake of overestimating anything about yourself or your travel plans. Never assume anything. If you are going to have the booking done, you should not procrastinate. Do it now so you’ll know whether making a reservation is indeed possible.

In relation to that, it’s important not to think of yourself as a one-man team. Delegate what you can so you can focus on more important matters. Of course, in terms of delegating, it’s important that you know the right activities to delegate to the right persons.

Time management is also a pertinent part of organization. Know the best and worst times to go to a travel agency, apply for visa, purchase your flight tickets, and make other vacation arrangements.

Maintain optimism.
Last minute vacation plans rarely have perfect results. But you’re sure to enjoy your vacation more if you know how to appreciate what you have and see the bright side of everything.

Things To Leave At Home When Packing Your Bags For The Airport

March 02, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

Each day, millions of travelers hop on an airplane to get their next destination. Whether you are making program for visiting your family or friends, attending a business meeting, or enjoying a family vacation, it  is very likely that you are going along with someone or the other. Almost all air travellers have some luggage along with them.  Unfortunately, when it comes to packing their bags, many travelers have no idea what they should or shouldn’t bring along.

If you are gearing up for your next trip, you are advised to carefully choose the items that you are planning on brining along with you. This includes items that will be packed in your checked baggage, in addition to your carryon luggage. Not only should you be thinking about convenience, but also about air travel rules, namely the rules that specify which items or materials are allowed aboard an airplane and which ones are not.

When examining items prohibited during air travel, it is important to remember that some items may only have a partial ban. An example of a partial ban is a ban that may prevent certain items from being stored in your carryon luggage, but not in your checked baggage.  Most of these bans, such as liquids, large tools, sporting goods, and sharp objects, are imposed only for safety reasons.

Although a large number of items are allowed to be in your checked baggage, despite being banned from your carryon luggage, there are some items that you cannot, under any circumstances, bring aboard an airplane. These items most commonly fall under the category of explosive or flammable materials.  You will find that you are prohibited from brining bombs, dynamite, gun powder, lighters, flares, or strike anywhere matches on an airplane.Actually,if you are trying to board an airplane with these items in your possession, whether they be in you carryon luggage or not, it could land you in serious problem.

In addition to items that are banned by the airline industry, you will also want to think about convenience, when packing your bags for your next business trip or vacation.  When it comes to carryon luggage, you will find that some airlines restrict the size of your bags, as well as the weight. For your own convenience, you will want to keep your carryon luggage as light as possible. The same should be said for your checked baggage.  Although you may not be carrying it with you at all times, it is still advised that you pack as light as possible. A number of airlines have strict weight limits on carryon luggage.  If your luggage weights more than what is allowed, you may be charged an extra fee or you may even be required to remove some of your belongings.

It is also advised that you think of the items that you are brining along with you, specifically their monetary and semimetal value. When traveling aboard an airplane, there are a number of instances where you belongings may suffer damage, especially those stored in checked baggage. If you would take a large financial or emotional hit from the loss or destruction of your personal belongings, you are advised to leave those items at home. Although you may not be able to have your laptop with you or your favorite piece of jewelry, it is nice to know that your treasured items are safe at home.
It may seem like a difficult task to leave some of your belongings at home, but you are encouraged to do so, whenever possible.  By keeping all of the above mentioned points into consideration, you are sure to not only avoid trouble at the airport, but have less to worry about as well.

Are You Traveling To Australia At The Last Minute?

March 01, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

Australia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. There’s a wide expanse of land that allows for plenty of land travel, it has some of the world’s most amazing landmarks and if you’re looking for adventure, the continent will never lack for something to offer. But in case you’re traveling to Australia at the last minute, here are some useful tips you might want to consider:

Last minute travel to Australia might not be cheap.
If you’re coming from North America, be prepared to spend a bit on travel tickets. Even the cheap fares going there aren’t that cheap, so be ready with your cash or credit card.  Tourists generally flock to the continent beginning October and on till February, which means last minute tickets might be tough to get. If you’re traveling last minute to Australia, there may be flights where you can get a good discount but you will have to make a few adjustments in case you want to take advantage of the low deals.

For cheap, last minute flights to Australia, learn to be flexible because you might not always have a choice in terms of seating, time, destination airport or even flight class.  If you’re up for an adventure, though, then booking a last minute travel flight to Australia is only the beginning.

Have a plan.
As mentioned earlier, Australia is a big continent and it has plenty to offer. When you’re booking a last minute flight, at least have a few good ideas on what you want to do when you get there. Surfing?  Rock climbing? Diving? Or just enjoying the natural beauty of the Outback?

Make a list of what you where you want to go and the kind of things you want to experience. If you’re making last minute travel plans to Australia, you might have to compromise on some things. At least, while you’re there, you get to experience as much as you can.

Something should be known about the country.
There are certain things about Australia that might surprise you if you aren’t familiar with it and we’re not talking about the local dialect. Cars are left-hand drives and summertime in the U.S. is wintertime in the continent, which means you’re more likely to get a heat stroke in December. Be prepared to shed your clothes if you are coming in from a cold area.

You may also want to be extra careful about the visit. Just because you’re going on a last minute travel to Australia doesn’t mean you should remain ignorant about any dangers there. The country, for example, homes the majority of the most poisonous snakes found around the world. Even if you’re making last minute travel plans, don’t forget to bring a sturdy, thick pair of boots.

It will help you if you have the travel accessories and a basic survival kit with you. There are simply areas in the continent where you need to be extra careful.

Familiarize yourself with your destination.
Last minute travel plans to Australia shouldn’t include you getting lost. Book hotels through the local agencies or you may contact the local tourism office. If you need a car to drive you to and from the airport, have this ready as well. Most travel agencies will be happy to make these arrangements for you.

Ask for extra information prior to the trip or go online and look for travel guides to the areas you plan to visit.

Last Minute Travel Tips By Land

March 01, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

Traveling by land does have its advantages – you can go as fast or as slow as you like, choose your mode of transportation (car, trains or bus) and enjoy the view. You can’t really do that from an airplane or a cruise ship. So is last minute travel by land making you break out into sweat and causing panic attack? It doesn’t have to. Here are tips you can use:

Get a map.
Never leave home without it. Other than a water bottle and a reliable car, a good road map is your best friend when traveling last minute by land. Choose a motorist’s map because it has more detailed information about the roads and highways you might have to use.

If you have time, try to study the map and mark your current location and your destination. Look at the route you want to take and try to check alternate routes as well. You never know if there is any construction in process or any traffic jam awaiting you.

While you’re at it, try to check for local accommodations, gas stations, restaurants, hospitals or clinics along the way. That should give you sufficient information on the most basic things – where to get gas, where to eat, go to the bathroom, sleep or your tires checked. That way, you’ll be able to plan your trip accordingly.

Pack up the necessities.
Bring only the things you will truly need on this trip, although if you’ll be traveling by car, you probably can pretty much bring just about anything that will fit in your trunk or backseat. If you’re traveling by public transportation, make sure to bring only the necessary stuff. That will help keep you mobile so you can move around fast.

Check your car.
Never go on a last minute travelby land without having your car checked. Don’t leave anything to chance. So maybe the next gas station or repair centre is ten miles far. What if your car breaks down – are you willing to walk/hitch the rest of the way just to get your car checked? Make sure everything is in order before you even leave your driveway.

Stop and get your bearings.
Last minute trips can be forever trips if you get lost. If you have been traveling a while on the road, stop to check that you are going in the right direction or at least following the correct path. Use landmarks and street signs to determine your exact location. Got a GPRS? Use it.

Going public? Confirm your tickets.
If you’ll be taking your last minute travel by land on a public transportation, make sure to get your tickets ahead of time. You could queue, of course but if you want to make sure you travel faster, have your tickets on hand.

Have cash on hand.
Not every destination you arrive at might have an ATM or a bank. In case you need cash fast, at least you have something in your wallet, bag or pocket. If you’re traveling by land at the last minute, make sure you have cash in change — $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills, along with loose change in coins. So in case you find a hotel, inn or restaurant that will only take cash, you’re ready.

Plus, you never know if you’ll have to make a call from a telephone booth. After all, there are still areas where mobile phones won’t work.

All About Last Minute Summer Travel

February 27, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

Summer is getting away, but you’re determined not to let spring come without first enjoying yourself under the sun. No matter how last minute your travel plans are, the tips below can guarantee that you’ll have a summer vacation to remember!

Budget
Start your travel plans by eliminating your most pressing worry and one that has the greatest impact on your plans. How much can you afford to spend for your last summer trip?

Know that because you are planning at the last minute, incentives and discounts that are usually offered won’t be available to you. You may have to pay more and tolerate less than 5-star accommodations because you haven’t made any advanced reservations.

To save on money, you should look for a destination that offers you lots of free attractions and activities to visit and do. If you are amenable to working with a travel agency, having them prepare all your travel plans could give you cheaper rates for a bundled package.

Choosing a Destination
Let’s be realistic. If you pick on the usual summer favorites like Hawaii, Florida, or California, you need to be prepared to jostle with the crowds every second of the day. Accommodations would also be difficult to obtain and even finding a good and affordable place to eat could also be a challenge.

Why not be adventurous for a change? Consider looking into secret or little-known summer getaways. Winter retreats like Colorado and Boston may seem like unlikely places to visit during the summer but with a little research, you’ll be surprised at the hidden gems of attractions they have to offer.

Another thing you should consider is what you can do when you finally get to your destination. It’s best to look for a destination which can immediately offer you activities you’re interested in. If you’re a nature lover, for instance, you might be hard-pressed to find challenging nature walks in the city jungle of New York. Likewise, urban travelers might be intimidated by the rugged outdoors found in Montana or the swampy beauty of Louisiana.

Choosing Your Mode of Transportation
By deciding on the mode of travel, you can make a considerable differenence in your plans.

If you’re greatly worried about time constraints and you’d like to make the most out of the last days of summer vacation, traveling by plane is the best option. It is one of the more expensive option, however, if you stay away from the business class or first class then possibly you can save more funds for your pocket money.

For those with adventurous spirits, traveling by car or using a rented RV is something you should consider. Traveling hours are longer, but you also get to enjoy beautiful scenery on the road, meet new friends pursuing a similar route, and discover new places of interest as you get nearer your destination. Make sure, however, you take all the safety precautions when traveling.

For a more leisurely and luxurious way of traveling, consider traveling by train or by taking a cruise to reach your destination.

Packing
Make a list. Yes, you’re intelligent, you’ve a great memory, and you’re organized but if you want to be sure about packing everything you need, make a list. Making one won’t hurt. Find out weather conditions in your destination to ensure you bring appropriate clothing. Lastly, make sure you’ve got stuff for sun protection with you in your hand-carry bag.

You should enjoy the days of summer time!

Getting Last Minute Travel Directions

February 26, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

There are many ways that travel can go wrong. You can get the wrong documents and have your passport messed up that you have to replace it before you can even think of getting out of the country. You can get the worst flights that are always delayed and that can cause you numerous inconveniences.

You can get the wrong hotel, the wrong tour, and the wrong directions around your chosen city. In other words, your tour can be messed up considerably if you do not choose the right agency or get the right directions. Now think of how much worse this can get if you actually have to do travel at the last minute!

Traveling at the last minute is not only inconvenient, but it can ruin even the best laid travel plans. You will need to get the best directions not only for your destination and the tours that you want, but for how you can survive your last minute travel arrangements. Here are a few places that you can use as your resources when you are getting directions to keep you on track.

First, if you are going for international tour, you need to gather information about the prospect tour destination country through its embassy. You need to know what documents you need to bring and what trouble you may expect. You also need to know if you are required to have a visa, what to do and who to contact if your passport gets lost, and the address of your embassy or consulate in the area just in case something goes wrong. Some embassies will also have information on where you can get good information for travel and tours in their respective countries.

Second, talk to your travel agent about the tours that you want to have. You may not be able to get a lot of good deals on tours if you are on a last minute travel schedule, but you can still try. After all, your travel agent should be well versed in the troubles of travel, and your travel agent should be able to get you help regarding where you need to go and what you need to do in order to get around.

Third, never underestimate the importance of a map. You need to have a map of the area that you want to travel in, which you can usually find online. This can help you plan your itinerary out. You can even draw up your itinerary while you are on the plane or train to your destination! This way, you know where to go even before you get to the place. However, you still need to maintain some flexibility just in case things don’t go the way that you plan. This means that you should be aware of any local festivals that might hold up traffic, or issues that might keep you from traveling safely or quickly to any place at your destination of choice.

These are only a few tips that you can use when you want to get directions for international travel. For more information, do your own research: subscribe to travel magazines and take note of any tips that you can use, look for websites for travelers who need advice about certain destinations.

And when you do get to your destination, start noting down what advice you can give other last minute travelers.

Ways To Last Minute International Travel

February 26, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

There’s nothing more interesting and more exciting than travel. Through travel, you are able to not only see the world but experience it: whether you are going to the hills of China and into the Himalayas, or exploring the Australian outback, there are so many ways that you can learn by simply being in the right place. You can add to the excitement of your international travel experience by doing it at the last minute. Of course, this can be difficult, but if you are prepared for some mind boggling excitement, then go ahead! Here are a few tips that will aid you in last minute international travel.

Never ignore the importance of a passport. Some people will take for granted the importance of their passport and will travel around without it, thinking that they can go into any country by virtue of their nationality or citizenship. However, you may get mugged, a lot of things can get stolen from you, and if you are working at the last minute, things can get quite sloppy. If you lose something, you need to go to the consulate if you can not lose it, and you need to show your citizenship through your passport.

- Before you ever travel anywhere, no matter how last minute your trip is, always check for the address of your consulate or embassy in the country that you are going to. Take note of this address and all contact numbers, and keep this information in a safe place. You will need this information just in case something goes wrong during your trip.

- When you are able to log on to the Internet, do two big things: look for information on your destination, such as the places where you want to go, how to get around, exchange rates from your currency to your destination’s currency, and other important things; and second, book a hotel. The first task will help you to anticipate some events and information on where to go beforehand as you will not wander blindly in your destination. The second may actually get you several discounts so make sure that you get a good hotel deal!

- If all else fails for your quest for good discounts on accommodations, then you may have to simply wing it. When you arrive at your destination, hunt for a cheap but decent and clean pension house or hostel. Get some rest, and when you start moving around the next day, stop by at several hotels and ask for information on bookings and cheap rates. This way, you can still get around and get the hotel that you want!

-  Ask for recommendations from your friends. May be they would able to offer you some tips from their own international adventure travels. In fact, when your friends start talking about their adventures, you should start listening and asking questions! Don’t ever discount the value of good research, not to mention good friends.

- Always have a good reliable travel agent on hand who can handle last minute accommodations and arrangements. The problem with a lot of travel agencies is that they offer no discounts for last minute travel, but if you are able to find a good agent, then you should keep that agent.

- Keep on doing research. On your spare times, search on the Internet for interesting places where you want to be, as when the time comes for travel, you have good idea about just where to go.

Different Consequences For Violating Air Travel Rules

February 26, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

In recent years, the media has been flooded with examples of security breaches on airplanes and in airports.  Although a number of these instances have turned out legitimate, there are others that were simply a mistake. Although you might assume this mistake was made on the part of airport security, most times it wasn’t.  In many instances, the mistake was made by a traveler; likely a traveler who was unaware of the consequences for not properly following air travel rules.  Don’t let yourself be one of those travelers.

When taking a flight, whether that flight be domestic or international, you are advised to familiarize yourself with all of the air travel rules, including the new ones, before you leave.  While many air travel rules can be considered common sense, there are others that are a little bit more difficult to know without doing the proper amount of research. Therefore, before you leave, you are advised to do that research.  You can easily determine what items are allowed or not allowed on your flight by contacting your airline or the airport that you are planning to flying out of.

In you quest to understand air travelrules, there will likely be some rules that you will come across that you don’t see any point to. Although these rules may appear silly or stupid, you still need to follow them.  For instance, there is currently a liquid ban on all international flights and domestic flights. There are some exceptions, however one of those exceptions do not include the drinks for adults. No matter how much you want to have a bottled water with you, it is just not possible. Instead of fighting it, you are advised to live with it because if you don’t, you could suffer the consequences.

When it is the matter of violating air travel rules, you will find that there are several different consequences for your actions.  Honestly, those consequences all depend on which airport you are at, the airline which you are traveling with, the rule that you are violating, and your attitude during the ordeal.  The most common consequence is that you will be delayed a short period of time. For instance, if you are trying to bring a soft drink onboard or a cigarette lighter, you may be taken aside for just a moment. That moment will be just long enough for you to hand over the prohibited item and be reminded of the importance of following air travel rules.

While many air travelers can be left with a warning, others may suffer more serious consequences. One of those consequences is being banned from your flight. As previously mentioned, your attitude during the whole ordeal can have a significant impact on the action that will be taken against you.If you are caught carrying an item that is illegal, you are suggested to just turn it over. Although there is a good chance that you may not get your nail cutters, your favorite cigarette lighter, or your bottled water back, it is better than not making it to your intended destination.  In most cases, you will be allowed to catch your flight, as long as you cooperate with airport security. Don’t give them a reason to ban you and they won’t.

Although being banned from your flight seems serious enough, there is one more consequence that is worse than that. That consequence is being arrested by local authorities.  In most cases, an arrest will only occur if and when you get out of hand.  Whether you are on your plane or just waiting at the airport, it is important that you remain calm at all times.  Whether you are upset with the air travel rules or just nervous about flying, your nerves may bring unwanted attention.  When being confronted by airport security or a flight crew, it is important to stay calm and answer all questions. If you are uncooperative, rude or insulting, you may find yourself in a jail very quickly.

As you can easily see, there are a number of different consequences for violating air travel rules.  However, you control those consequences.Whether you intended to break a rule or not, the best thing that you can do is stay calm and be cooperative with whoever you are dealing with.  It is the best way to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

February 26, 2009 By: Tristan Category: Misc No Comments →

The early bird gets the worm. This is why if you book your flights or hotel room early, you get good deals for your punctuality. However sometimes, last minute travel can not be avoided. And we know what that means… since you’re booking flights last minute, you sometimes have to pay more. Would you be able to get cheap seats and accommodations for last minute travel? Here are tips to make sure you do:

Use your frequent flyer status.

If you are a member of an airline’s frequent flyer program, then you will be considered as a privileged passenger. That means you can take advantage of an age-old practice that airlines are still upholding today – reserving a few tickets for their VIPs.

If you need to make last minute travel, go ahead and flash them your card. You also get to earn a few bonus points in the process.

Go online.
Yep, these days, whenever you need anything, you go online. If you need cheap, last minute travel deals for an airplane ticket, go to the airline’s website. There are a lot who show the leftover seats for a particular flight. These are seats that have remained unsold even as the airplane is getting ready for takeoff. You’ll get some nice discounts for filling up the seats.

You could buy the tickets online but be ready to dash off to the airport or boarding gate. If you want last minute travel this cheap, you better live up to it.

Got a credit card?  Use it.
Some credit card companies offer air miles programs on their cards. Check whether yours is associated with an airline company or not. You can have benefit of these offerings in case you need to travel pronto. Plus, you might even collect rewards points as well.

Check if it’s that time of the year.
Airfare and hotel prices fluctuate, depending on the season. If you want cheap last minute travel deals, go off season when there are fewer travelers and companies are raring to fill their seats and rooms. You could get a great discount if you only choose to travel when business is slow.

Buy bundled.
Many travel agencies purchase multiple flights and use them to promote package tours. If your travel destination is included in these bundles, try to booking a seat. Although most of these trips sell fast, you could find cheap last minute travel with these agencies. This usually happens as the date of departure approaches. If there are packages that have remained unsold, you can be sure that they will be sold at highly discounted prices.

The advantage here is that you not only get to cover the airfare, you also get accommodation (and probably breakfast) thrown in. All in all, that should be way less than the cost of a regular flight and hotel booking.

Sign up for e-mail alerts.
Many airlines and hotels send out alerts regarding great deals on their products. You could take advantage of these in case you need to travel last minute cheaply. Check your e-mail boxes regularly if there’s a good deal currently active around the time you have to travel. Just be careful, though.

If you go this route, make sure you really are going to travel. Most of these companies offer these deals as non-refundables.
